This is truly the MOST amazing Bible. I LOVE IT! Getting Scripture in a “time reference” is very exciting for me. I love History anyway, and this shows in in real time WHEN the Bible took place, and how it fit into World History. I THOROUGHLY endorse this version of the Bible. This Bible really does help you to get a feel for how things happened in sequence, instead of skipping around and going back and forth to different events the way the traditional Bible is laid out. The historical and cultural insights written at the beginning of each section give a greater depth of understanding of the true meaning of many of the events and stories that are told by Biblical characters. It is divided up into very “do-able” readings for each day, that enable one to have a sense of the continuity of God’s story unfolding over time, in contrast to most “read through the Bible in a year” programs which include portions from different books of the Old and New Testaments each day.
