In the Bible But not in the Quran (64): Was He an Israelite or an Ishmaelite?

Was Jether an Ishmaelite or an Israelite in the Bible?

He was an Ishmaelite

No, He was an Israelite

Actually, he was an Ishmaelite from the family of Ishmael,

This is what the Bible says!

------------

In 2 Samuel 17:25

He was an Israelite according to these versions of the Bible:

New International Version, King James Version, American Standard Version, New International Version and Darby Translation

No, he was an Ishmaelite according to these versions of the Bible:

Contemporary English Version, the Message, New Living Translation, Amplified Bible and English Standard Version

------------

This indicates that five out of 10 versions of the Bible affirm that Jether was an Ishmaelite while the other five versions of the Bible insist that Jether was an Israelite.

On the other hand, 1 Chronicles 2:17 shows that Jether was an Ishmaelite in all the 10 versions of the Bible studied in this article.

It is hard to believe that the Biblical writers or the Biblical translators are too ignorant to know the difference between the Israelite and the Ishmaelite!

This is another example that illustrates the effort done by both the Biblical writers and the Biblical translators to hide Ishmael and the Ishmaelite.

Hence, and based on the above example, who can guarantee that some of the Biblical prophecies about Israel and the Israelites were originally about Ishmael and the Ishmaelite?

------------

Why they tried to hide Ishmael in the Bible?

They did that to conceal his honor and the prophecies about him.

Why the Biblical writers have done that?

They did that because they hate Ishmael very much.

Why?

Because Muhammad is Ishmael's descendent; Ishmael is the Grand-Father of Muhammad. Between both of them, there are virtually 40 generations.

Since the Biblical writers knew well the prophecies about Ishmael and his son Muhammad, they have done their work to hide Ishmael in the Bible.

------------

------------

=========

Was Jether an Ishmaelite or an Israelite in the Noble Quran?

Jether is not mentioned in the Quran.

But Ishmael is mentioned.

Ishmael was a Messenger and a Prophet.

According to the Noble Quran, it is a very big sin that leads to the Hell in the hereafter is to say or to believe anything which dishonors or to hide the honor of any Messenger and/or any Prophet (Ishmael was both Messenger and Prophet).
