…I have read about four triathlon books and this definitely ranks last. The author bores you with complex concepts and fitness buzzwords. One good thing I can say about this book – At least each section is short, so you will eventually get through it.
If you want some good info on triathloning, then read ‘Triathlon 101′ and subscribe to ‘Triathlete Magazine’ or ‘Inside Triathlon’.

This book provides some great training plans for all types of triathletes, pro, amateur, and non-competitive. However, this book is also useful for single sport athletes. The basic concepts of nutrition, performance staging, and performanance monitoring are applicable to all sports. Joe Friel describes the triathlon experience from the start of training to recovery and includes helpful info such as equipment lists. Recommended for anyone considering multisport competitions.
